  1. You are doing such a great service to the family historians by posting all these images of churches.
I know I have someone in my database connected to Orono but I haven't figured out who yet! I did find my Theriault connection to Old Town, however.
They are the couple Juste Theriault and Caroline Catherine Gallien (offspring: Philomene, Agnes, Catherine and Emilie)who descend from the Caraquet, New Brunswick Theriaults (Narcisse Theriault and Vitaline Chiasson).

  2. Lots of Theriaults in the Old Town area, I used to live near Vernon.

  3. Evelyn,
If you could be so kind, I could use some help tracking down my great grandmother who emigrated from Canada. Her name was Leontine Brillant, born Sep 1857, Emigration 1873 to probably the state of Maine. I am also curious what Canada was like during this time. I believe there was a depression. Any help would be great-feel free to pass my request to others. Thank you!

  4. Hi Scott, Not sure if you remember me, but I grew up around the corner from you on Davis St. I included several of the images that you have here in a slideshow I did at the Old Town Museum in July. I understand you visited there recently and Paul sent a message out to us alerting us to this blog. It looks great. If you are on facebook, there is a museum page that includes some of the then and now images from my presentation - more will be added as soon I get a chance. I might be able to help you with your Leontine Brillant research. I will take a look and see what I can find.
